Chlormequat chloride is an antagonist of gibberellin. Chlormequat chloride is a kind of plant growth regulator with low toxicity. It can enter into plants through leaves, shoots, buds, roots and seeds, and inhibit the biosynthesis of gibberellin in plants. Its main physiological function is to control plant growth, promote reproductive growth, shorten plant internode, show short, strong, thick, developed root system, resist lodging, dark green leaves, increase chlorophyll content, enhance photosynthesis, improve fruit setting rate, improve quality, improve yield. At the same time, it can also improve the resistance of some crops to cold, drought, salt and alkali, disease and insect.

It can be widely used in cotton, wheat, corn, rice, sorghum, peanut, soybean, tomato, cucumber, potato, sugarcane, apple, pear, peach, grape, citrus and other plants.

Application skills of chlormequat chloride in various crops:

Spraying chlormequat chloride at the end of tillering and at the beginning of jointing can effectively inhibit the elongation of 1-3 internodes at the lower part of stem, which is very beneficial to prevent wheat lodging and improve the ear rate. If 1000-2000mg/L solution is sprayed at jointing stage, it will not only inhibit the elongation of internode, but also affect the normal development of ear, resulting in yield reduction.

Rice: in the early stage of rice jointing, 50-100g of 50% water agent per mu and 50kg of water are used to spray the stems and leaves, which can make the plants short and strong, prevent lodging and increase the yield.

Corn: spray 30-50kg/mu of medicine solution on the leaf 3-5 days before jointing with 1000-3000mg/L medicine solution, which can shorten the internode, reduce the ear position, resist lodging, make the leaf short and wide, enhance photosynthesis, reduce baldness, increase 1000 grain weight, and finally realize the increase of production.
