Three Advocationss and Three Prohibitions of Monopotassium Phosphate in Use

The first advocation: It is advocated that reasonable mixing of monopotassium phosphate with some nitrogen fertilizers, boron and molybdenum fertilizers, chelated micro fertilizers and pesticides can save labor and increase fertilizer efficiency and efficacy. The suitable concentration of urea solution is generally 0.5-1%.


The second advocation is to promote the application of monopotassium phosphate and boron fertilizer. In the crops with boron deficiency and significant effect on boron fertilizer, the application of monopotassium phosphate mixed with boron fertilizer has significant effect on yield increase, and the concentration of boron fertilizer is 0.1%.


Monopotassium phosphate can be mixed with boric acid and sodium octaborate tetrahydrate. As boric acid belongs to the industrial dangerous control goods, there are certain mandatory requirements for storage, and only boric acid fertilizer is rarely available on the market, so we generally recommend micro times boron and  monopotassium phosphate (potassium phosphate vault) for use together. Micro boron, the kind of instant solution in cold water, contains more than 20.5% pure boron and is an effective boron supplement..


The Third advocation is monopotassium phosphate can be mixed with Trichlorfon and pyrethroid pesticides. In addition, it can be mixed with some growth hormones, such as NAA and chlorpromazine.


First prohibition: alkaline products should not be mixed with monopotassium phosphate, such as Bordeaux solution, copper hydroxide. The pH of 1%  monopotassium phosphate aqueous solution is about 4.6, which is slightly acidic. When it is mixed with basic fertilizer and pesticide, chemical reaction will occur, and abnormal phenomena such as flocculation, precipitation, discoloration, heating and bubble will occur. At this time, the function of monopotassium phosphate will fail.


The second prohibition: products containing carbonate (CO3-) should not be mixed with monopotassium phosphate. Because the bicarbonate reacts with the hydrogen ion of monopotassium phosphate to produce CO2 gas. For example, potassium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate.


The third prohibition: products that can react with monopotassium phosphate should not be mixed with monopotassium phosphate. This product will react with  monopotassium phosphate to form flocculent and precipitate.


Monopotassium phosphate can not be mixed with zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate and other fertilizer products, even zinc glycolate is not suitable for mixing with monopotassium phosphate.


In the pesticide, mancozeb, alum, metalaxyl manganese zinc, copper hydroxide, basic copper sulfate, calcium copper sulfate, Bordeaux solution, cuprous oxide, and cuprous complex cannot be mixed with monopotassium phosphate
